Rental Terms, Conditions, & Guidelines
Following are the terms of agreement and guidelines regarding the rental of Beach Holidays homes:

When you make a booking you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. A contract will exist as soon as we issue our confirmation invoice.

The Mandatory Bond is held by way of an un-presented credit card voucher by providing credit card details on arrival.

Please contact Beach Holidays at least 30 minutes prior to arrival. We will meet you at the house to hand over the keys so please let us know beforehand what time to expect you arrive. Check in time is between 2pm - 6pm - later arrivals by arrangement. Check out time is by 11am (or by arrangement) on the day of departure.

On arrival the house will be presented in a clean and tidy condition, and we ask that the house be left in a similar condition. Renter(s) are responsible for cleaning of all utensils, and equipment prior to departure. Please empty the dishwasher and return all furniture and bedding to their original places.

Disposal of rubbish is the responsibility of the renter(s). Prepaid blue bags or green bags at a cost of approx $2 can be purchased at the local 4Square store. Collection day is Monday mornings (also Thursday mornings during the summer season Dec-Feb). There is also recycling in Mangawhai and you can buy prepaid recycle bags at approx $1 each. These are for your paper and bottles etc.

There is a local company in Mangawhai Heads (Materials Processing Ltd, Mangawhai Heads Rd, ph 431-5445) that have a drop-off facility for recyclable materials.

The number of people stated on the invoice is the total number of people (including children) permitted to stay at the house. The renter(s) will ensure that the number of persons occupying the house is under no circumstances exceeded, unless approval has been confirmed prior to arrival. Failure to abide by this could see your tenancy terminated with no refund for the outstanding nights booked.

Parties, weddings, noisy functions or gatherings are not permitted in any of the properties. We ask that you respect the neighbours.

You the renter(s) are responsible for the holiday house during your stay. Beach Holidays Mangawhai expects that you take all responsible care of the holiday house. We ask that you report any damage or spillages and replace any goods that are consumed that belong to the house owner. Any breakages, repairs or damage caused by your negligence during your stay will be your sole responsibility. Should damage or breakage occur or any items go missing or repairs need to be carried out then you will be fully responsible for the total cost.

Damages/breakages and/or any additional cleaning charges including rubbish removal costs will be charged to the authorised credit card supplied if payment is not arranged with Beach Holidays. By accepting our confirmation invoice you hereby authorise Beach Holidays Mangawhai to charge for repairs, replacements and incidentals previously mentioned under this agreement.

Pets are not permitted unless prior approved. It is essential for health reasons (i.e allergies) that this is complied with. Where pets are accepted you must undertake to clear the property of any animal droppings. A nightly tariff may apply.

Tents are not to be erected on the property unless prior approval has been confirmed.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all of our Beach Holiday Houses. If you have smokers outside please ask them to discard their butts appropriately.

PLEASE be conservative with water usage (Mangawhai is not on mains supply). It pays to keep water in the jug in case of power cuts. Organic material only to go down the toilet, female sanitary products and wipes etc will block the septic field and you will incur costs from your bond to repair.

You shall notify Beach Holidays prior to vacating to arrange an inspection and hand over of keys.

Beach Holidays Mangawhai cannot guarantee or be responsible for any problems that may affect your holiday arising from acts outside of our control, such as poor weather or power cuts or unforeseen electronic breakdowns. This does not give the renter(s) entitlement to a discount, unless it has prevented the renter(s) for being able to safely occupy the house.

Bookings are accepted by us in good faith as Agents: We cannot be held responsible for actions taken by the owners of premises that are outside of our control, such as:
(i) the property is sold;
(ii) the property is altered in any way;
(iii) the property is withdrawn for letting.

In any of the above or other circumstances, every reasonable endeavour will be made to find alternative accommodation of comparable standard. Where this is cheaper we will refund the difference, but where it is more expensive you will have to pay the difference. Failing that we will return all monies paid.

Please bring all sheets, pillowcases, towels, beach towels, bathmats and tea towels with you.

Pillows and duvets are provided. Please do not use any linen belonging to the owner.

Beach Holidays can provide linen for hire at a cost of $20 per person per stay.
